Communication is Critical. The cornerstone of any successful relationship is communication. You can rely on us to be forthright, open, and honest with you from the moment our partnership begins.
When you first become a patient...
We will gather pertinent information from you before your first appointment. If possible, we will contact your insurance company to verify your benefits. We will mail out basic paperwork to you in advance of your appointment so you can complete it at your leisure and minimize your waiting time at the office.
When you are a patient...
We will issue you written confirmation of your appointments when they are made, confirm appointments by phone within 48 hours (when possible, estimating your financial responsibility as well), and remind you of your recall visits with postcards.
You will be presented with the ideal treatment choice based on your clinical situation. You will also be offered alternate treatment plans. The advantages, disadvantages, and compromises of each will be explained in detail to you. You will have the opportunity to ask as many questions as you like. You may return to the office for complimentary consultations to review this information and ask new questions as many times as you like prior to treatment.
You will be given a written copy of your treatment plan and the options you discussed with your doctor. You will also receive a written financial plan that clearly delineates the fees associated with the procedures, as well as a breakdown of your responsibility, estimated insurance payments, and other financing options.
When you undergo surgical or invasive treatment, you will be presented with a written outline of the risks and benefits of the procedure and the opportunity to ask questions.
