Dentures are one way to replace missing teeth. In the event that all of your teeth are missing, full or complete dentures are the most common way to replace them. If you are missing some teeth, a partial denture may be a good solution to replacing these.
Complete dentures
Most people have a good idea of what complete dentures are. Although we strive to preserve teeth, in some cases there are no alternatives. When it becomes necessary to make dentures, we make impressions or molds of the gum tissue. Then, dentures are fashioned from wax so that we can adjust your bite and ensure you can speak properly. Finally, the dentures are converted from wax to acrylic for a long-lasting set of teeth that restore your function.
Partial Dentures
"Partials" as they are called, replace areas of missing teeth while clasping on to our existing teeth. Partials can be constructed from a combination of metal and acrylic, or from a new form of flexible acrylic. These can provide an economical solution to replace missing teeth, as the cost of partial dentures is independent of the number of teeth involved.
